Potato prices shed 0.72% to Rs 604.70 per quintal in futures trade today, due to increased arrivals from producing regions against sluggish demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, potato for delivery in April declined by Rs 4.40, or 0.72%, to Rs 604.70 per quintal, with a trade volume of just one lot.
The potato for delivery in March shed Rs 2.60, or 0.41%, to Rs 632.90 per quintal, with a business turnover of 34 lots.
Traders attributed the decline in potato futures to increased arrivals from producing regions against subdued demand in the spot market.
