Pratibha Industries surges on Rs 590 crore construction orders

The stock has surged 13% to Rs 30.60 on back of heavy volumes on the BSE.

Pratibha Industries has surged 13% to Rs 30.60 after the company said it has secured construction orders aggregating to Rs 590 crore.

The company’s water management division has bagged Rs 225 crore orders from Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board for construction of underground drainage system in Rajkot district. The contract is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.
 
The building division secured Rs 118 crore contract from National Buildings Construction Corporation for construction of 200 bedded hospital in New Delhi. The company also received Rs 171 crore contract from Bhartiya City Developers Private Limited for construction of housing project and another construction contract of Rs 76 crore from R J Group.

The stock opened at Rs 27 and hit a high of Rs 31.10 on the BSE. A combined 1.41 million shares already changed hands on the counter till early noon deals against an average sub one million shares that were traded daily in past two weeks on the BSE and NSE.
