Pre-Market: Flat to negative opening likely

Global cues weak; major Asian markets down over 1%

Markets are expected to open on a negative note tracking similar trend in Asian shares.

Global risk appetite was weak  after U.S. consumer sentiment and poor retail sales stoked fears of growth recovery in the world's biggest economy.

At 6AM IST, SGX Nifty traded down  13.50 points at 5512.00.

On Friday, US stocks declined.

 The Dow Jones industrial average was down 0.08 points, or 0.00 percent, at 14,865.06. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 4.51 points, or 0.28 percent, at 1,588.86. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 5.21 points, or 0.16 percent, at 3,294.95.

Following stocks are expected to move today

Oil India Ltd (OIL) has commissioned its 54 mega watt wind turbine plant at Dangri in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, there by strengthening its footprint in renewable energy.

Dena Bank expects Rs 1,260 crore capital infusion from the government, said its chairman and managing director Ashwani Kumar.
