Standard gold closed lower at Rs 5,995 as gold lost its steam later due to extended weekend due to Thanksgiving. The December gold futures on the NMCE closed at Rs 5,950 amid a volume of 204 contracts.
Pure gold (99.9 purity) closed at Rs 6,035 as against last Friday
