The fall was led by old economy stocks. Pharma and technology stocks witnessed select buying interest.
The Sensex shed 32.93 points, or 0.65 per cent, to close at 5,064.91. During intraday-trades, the Sensex touched a high of 5,127.79 and a low of 5,021.79.
