Gains of the index has minimised in early noon trades as profit-taking has emerged at few select counters. The Sensex is now up 23 points at 6,674, while the Nifty is steady at 2,088 - up four points.The breadth of the market is positive with 1,416 gainers and 755 losers on the BSE.ICICI Bank has gained 3.92% (Rs 15) to Rs 387. While SBI (up Rs 10 or 1.50% to Rs 706) is holding on to its gains, HDFC Bank, however, has slipped a per cent (Rs 5) to Rs 572.Bharti, on a traded volume of over 13.12 lakh, continues to trade firm on firm buying support, and has soared 6.19% (Rs 14) to Rs 238.Infosys (up Rs 9 to Rs 2,191) and Satyam (up Rs 3 to Rs 398) are trading with steady gains. Wipro, however, is subdued with a per cent loss (Rs 5) at Rs 671.Reliance is up a notch at Rs 547. While ITC has scaled down 1.32% (Rs 18) to Rs 1,320, HLL is down a tad at Rs 146.Gujarat Ambuja has added 1.22% (Rs 5) to Rs 445. Grasim and ACC are up a per cent each at Rs 1,341 and Rs 365, respectively.ONGC, however, on reports of block deal in early trades, is down 1.15% (Rs 10) at Rs 854. The counter has clocked a volume of over 96.78 lakh on the BSE.L&T has tumbled 1.70% (Rs 19) to Rs 1,117, while HDFC has declined 1.35% (Rs 11) to Rs 771.
