Provisional: Markets end higher led by RIL

Markets ended over 2.5% higher, amid firm global cues, led by index heavyweight Reliance Industries after the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs doubled the price of natural gas.

Markets ended over 2.5% higher, amid firm global cues, led by energy shares with index heavyweight Reliance Industries leading the gains after the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs doubled the price of domestic natural gas.

The 30-share Sensex ended up 475 points  at  19,351 and the 50-share Nifty ended up 146 points at 5,829.
