Pulses remain steady in thin trade

Steady conditions persisted on the wholesale pulses market today with most pulses after moving in a tight range closed around previous closing.

Arrivals and offtake too remained at a low ebb and volume of business poor.

Traders negligible activity due to cold wave and tight money market conditions, kept most of pulses prices unchanged. 

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal: 

Urad 4,100-4,650, Urad chilka (local) 4,900-5,300, best 5,400-5,700, Dhoya 5,600-5,700, Moong 4,000-4,400, Dal moong chilka local 4,850-5,250, Moong Dhoya local 5,100-5,300 and best quality 5,600-5,800

Masoor small 3,300-3,500, bold 3,450-3,700, Dal Masoor local 4,050-4,150, best quality 4,300-4,600, Malka local 3,800-3,850, best 3,950-4,050, Moth 3,100-3,400, Arhar 3,300-3,400, dal arhar dara 4,400-4,800
