Hectic all-round buying in the market continues. The Sensex has shot up by 136 points to 6,375. The Nifty has advanced 45 points to 2,000.The breadth of the market is positive at 2:1, with 1,198 advances and 565 declines.Reliance has scaled up 2.33% (Rs 12) to Rs 518. While ITC is trading with a steady gain of 1.41% (Rs 20) at Rs 1,405, HLL is up 1.16% (Rs 2) at Rs 153.Infosys, on fresh buying support, has advanced 3.36% (Rs 66) to Rs 2,017. While Wipro has flared up nearly 4% (Rs 27) to Rs 701, Satyam is trading with steady gains at Rs 395.SBI continues to trade with sharp gains, and has surged 5.20% (Rs 30) to Rs 612. While ICICI Bank has extended its gains by 2.53% (Rs 9) to s 346, HDFC Bank, after a weak opening, is up 1.39% (Rs 7) at Rs 540.Bharti, on strong Q3 results, is trading firm with a gain of 4.43% (Rs 9) at Rs 219. Tata Power has accelerated by 5.72% (Rs 20) to Rs 371.While L&T has spurted 4% (Rs 37) to Rs 947, HPCL has gained 1.96% (Rs 7) to Rs 343. Reliance Energy at Rs 512 (up Rs 12 or 2.44%) is also trading with firm gains.Ranbaxy has flared up 3.91% (Rs 40) to Rs 1,062. Cipla has moved up 2.16% (Rs 6) to Rs 274, and Dr. Reddy's is up 1.68% (Rs 12) at Rs 743.Gujarat Ambuja has advanced 4.15% (Rs 17) to Rs 437. While Grasim has added 1.33% (Rs 17) to Rs 1,310, ACC is up a per cent (Rs 2) at Rs 351.Banking stocks BoI (up Rs 4 or 4.63% to Rs 82), Indian Overseas Bank (up Rs 3 or 4% to Rs 70), BoB (up Rs 8 or 3.97% to Rs 198), PNB (up Rs 14 or 3.92% to Rs 381), OBC (up Rs 8 or 2.64% to Rs 318) and Kotak Bank (up Rs 6 or 2% to Rs 275) are trading with impressive gains.Padmalaya Telefilms has hit the 20% circuit breaker of Rs 48. While Max India has soared 18.76% (Rs 62) to Rs 394, Atul Ltd has jumped 11.62% to Rs 73. D-Link, Dhampur Sugar Mills, Rane Break, Essal Steel, EID Parry, Cadila Healthcare and Gillette are trading firm in a range of 7-9%.
