The Sensex slipped into red and dropped to a low of 17,928 - down 225 points from the previous close - soon after the RBI announced no change in rates. However, the index soon recovered and is now down five poitns at 18,148.The NSE Nifty is up 14 points at 5,288.Infosys has soared 3% to Rs 1,491. ITC has surged 2.6% to Rs 202.Wipro has rallied over 2% to Rs 415. Grasim and HDFC have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,831, respectively.Cipla has gained 1.4% at Rs 187, and Ambuja Cements is up 1% at Rs 116.ICICI Bank has slumped 6.5% to Rs 1,190. HDFC Bank has plunged over 4% to Rs 1,520. SBI has dropped 2.5% at Rs 2,248.Bajaj Auto has tumbled over 6% to Rs 2,307, and Maruti has shed 5.5% at Rs 815. Mahindra & Mahindra has slipped 2.5% to Rs 670, and Tata Motros has dropped 1.4% to Rs 705.Larsen & Toubro has declined 2.5% to Rs 3,750. Hindalco is down over 2% at Rs 170.ACC and Reliance Energy have shed 1.7% each at Rs 785 and Rs 2,062, respectively.Reliance Communications is down over 1% at Rs 639.
