RCom, Adani included in Nifty Midcap

BSE too announces changes to its indices composition

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) today announced inclusion of Reliance Communications and Adani Enterprises to its Nifty Midcap 50 index. These two companies will replace Mphasis and Piramal Enterprises. The changes will come into effect from November 30, 2012.

Meanwhile, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) also several changes to its BSE 100, BSE 200 and BSE 500 indices.

Essar Oil and GVK Power will be replaced by Satyam Computer on the BSE 100 and BSE 200 indices respectively. Newly-listed firm Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), along with Ipca Labs and Strides Arcolab, were also included on the BSE 200 index.

BSE also included 16 new companies including JK Cement, Religare Enterprises and V-Guard Industries, to the BSE 500 indices. Asia's oldest bourse also announced changes to its sectorl indices including Realty, Power and IT.

The revision in BSE indices will be effective from December 10, 2012.
