Paddy arrival in Haryana has surpassed last year’s arrival. Till Thursday evening, 43.33 lakh metric tonnes of paddy had arrived in the ‘mandis’ as against last year’s total arrival of 43.03 lakh metric tonnes. Stating this, Haryana Food and Supplies Minister Mahender Pratap Singh said that despite scanty rains in the state during the monsoons, the higher production of paddy had been possible due to pro-farmer policies of the state government and the hard work of the farmers. The state had so far delivered over 1.05 lakh MT rice to the central pool, he added.
