During October, 2003 Kolkata Dock System (KDS) of Kolkata Port Trust handled an all time record of 82,000 tonnes of vegetable oil. In container handling, KDS registered growth by handling 11,897 TEUs in October, 2003.
KDS expects to handle more than 1,20,000 TEUs of container by the end of 2003-04.
