The Sensex is now down 558 points at 18,494.Reliance Energy has slumped 9% to Rs 1,732. Bharti Airtel has tumbled 8% to Rs 1,020.ICICI Bank has plunged 6.5% to Rs 1,081. NTPC and HDFC have tumbled over 6% each to Rs 217 and Rs 2,413, respectively.Maruti, Mahindra & Mahindra and BHEL have shed around 5.5% each to Rs 1,121, Rs 770 and Rs 2,265, respectively. ITC, Bajaj Auto and SBI are down around 5% each at Rs 176, Rs 2,415 and Rs 1,831, respectively.TCS has surged 2.7% to Rs 1,097, and Satyam has gained 1.5% at Rs 457.Out of 2,459 stocks traded so far, 1,833 have declined, 590 have advanced and 36 are unchanged.
