Refined palmolein declined in an otherwise subdued oils and oilseeds market here today due to stockists offering coupled with reduced demand from retailers.
Castorseeds futures also edged down on lack of export orders.
Meanwhile, other edible and non-edible oils continued its steady trend in the absence of market moving factors.
In the edible segment, refined palmolein dropped by Rs 13 per 10 kg to Rs 481, from the last Saturday's closing level of Rs 494, while groundnut oil held stable at Rs 870 per 10 kgs.
In the futures segment, castorseed's October contract opened higher at Rs 3,690, but later dropped to Rs 3,669 before settling at Rs 3,679 as against last weekend's close of Rs 3,686 showing a modest fall of Rs 7 per tonne.
However, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil remained unchanged at Rs 3,725, Rs 775 and Rs 570, respectively.
