Refined palmolein declines on stockists selling

Refined palmolein declined further at the oils and oilseeds market here today on hectic stockists selling amidst subdued retail demand despite prices ruling firm in Malaysia.   

Groundnut oil continued to rule stable in the absence of market moving factors. Castorseed bold and castor oil commercial recovered modestly due to renewed demand from shippers and soap industries.

Meanwhile, castorseed futures also moved up owing to good export orders. In edible-oil segment, refined palmolein fell by Rs 8 per 10 kg to Rs 587 from overnight closing level of Rs 595.

Groundnut oil held steady at Rs 780 per 10 kg.

Turning to non-edible section, castorseed bold firmed up by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 4,400 from Rs 4,375 and castoroil commercial moved up by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 910 as against 905 in the previous session.

Linseed oil were unaltered at Rs 700 per 10 kg.

Moving to futures section, castorseed for March delivery resumed lower at Rs 3,670 and strengthened further to Rs 3,702 before settling to close at Rs 3,699 from Rs 3,679 yesterday, showing a rise of Rs 20 per tonne.
