Refined palmolein moved up further in an otherwise sluggish oils and oilseeds market here today due to rising retail demand amid firm Malaysian advices.
Groundnut oil maintained a steady trend on lack of buying support. In non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial declined owing subdued demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil remained unchanged in the absence of enquiries from paint industries. Castorseeds futures also slipped over lack of export orders.
In edible segment, refined palmolein added by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 585 from Friday's closing level of Rs 582. Groundnut oil were unaltered at Rs 855 per 10 kg.
Turning to non-edible section, castorseeds bold fell by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 5,100 from overnight closing level of Rs 5,125 and castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,050 as against Rs 1,055.
Linseed oil ended stable at Rs 735 per 10 kg.
Moving to futures section, castorseeds for June delivery resumed lower at Rs 4,740 and slipped further to Rs 4,700 before closing at Rs 4,709 as compared to Rs 4,755 previously, showing a fall of Rs 46 per tonne.
