Refined palmolein recovered modestly in an otherwise sluggish oils and oilseeds market here today on fresh retail demand amidst firm Malaysian advices.
Meanwhile, castorseeds futures moved down further on subdued export enquiries.
Groundnut oil, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil all maintained a steady trend in absence of market moving factors.
In the edible oil segment, refined palmolein rose by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 563 from last weekend's closing level of Rs 560. Groundnut oil held stable at Rs 765 per 10 kg.
Turning to futures section, castorseeds March delivery resumed steady at Rs 3,450, but later declined to Rs 3,417 before settling to end at Rs 3,427 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 3,450, showing a fall of Rs 23 per tonne.
However, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil all closed unchanged at Rs 4,350, Rs 900 and Rs 630, respectively.
