Refined palmolein spurted in an otherwise lacklustre oils and oilseeds market here today due to good demand from retailers amidst bullish Malaysian advices.
While, groundnut oil held steady on lack of buying support.
Castorseed bold and castor oil commercial also ended stable on thin trade. Meanwhile, castorseed futures recovered owing to renewed export enquiries.
In edible oil segment, refined palmolein rose by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 595 from overnight closing level of Rs 585. Groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 775 per 10 kgs.
Turning to futures section, castorseeds for March delivery resumed higher at Rs 3,700 and moved in range of Rs 3,720 and Rs 3,685 before settling to close at Rs 3,709 from Rs 3,681 previously, showing a gain of Rs 28 per tonne.
However, castorseed bold, castoroil commercial and linseedoil all ended unaltered at Rs 4,450, Rs 920 and Rs 700 respectively.
