Refined soya oil prices slipped by Rs 1.15, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 489.55 per 10 kg in futures trade today owing to slack demand against adequate stocks position.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, refined soya oil for October delivery declined by Rs 1.15, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 489.55 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 184 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in current-month September traded marginally lower by Rs 0.30, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 483.10 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 462 lots.

Marketmen said subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly led to a fall in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
