Refined soya oil fell by Rs 10.85 to Rs 488.30 per 10 kg in futures trade today, as traders indulged in profit-booking at higher levels, influenced by a fall in spot market demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, refined soya oil for December-month contract fell by Rs 10.85, or 2.17 per cent to Rs 488.30 per 10 kg, with a trading volume of two lots.

Similarly, the refined soya oil for delivery in November contract declined by Rs 10.50, or 2.13 per cent to Rs 480.60 per 10 kg, with a business volume of 15 lots.

October month delivery eased by Rs 7.95 or 1.64 per cent to Rs 475.85 per 10 kg in 22 lots.

The fall in refined soya oil mostly attributed to profit-taking at higher levels due to fall in demand in the spot market, traders said.
