Refined soya oil prices declined by 0.36% to Rs 673 per 10 kg in futures trade today on profits-booking by speculators, driven by weak demand in the spot market against sufficient supplies.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February declined by Rs 2.45, or 0.36% to Rs 673 per 10 kg with an open interest of 12,5430 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in January traded lower by Rs 1.50, or 0.22% to Rs 678.80 per 10 kg in 21,600 lots.
Analysts said profit-bookings by speculators due to weak demand in the spot market against sufficient supplies from producing region mainly kept pressure on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
