 "Refined soya oil down 0.6% on sluggish demand")
Refined soya oil prices declined by 0.67% to Rs 708.35 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced their positions, driven by sluggish spot demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in January declined by Rs 4.80, or 0.67% to Rs 708.35 per 10 kg with an open interest of 118180 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in December shed Rs 4.35, or 0.61% to Rs 704.50 per 10 kg in 40,970 lots.
Market analysts said speculators reducing their positions, driven by subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
