Refined soya oil futures down on subdued demand

Refined soya oil prices traded lower by Rs 1.80 or 0.41 per cent to Rs 440.65 per 10 kg in futures trading today on subdued demand against adequate stocks position.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, refined soya oil prices declined by Rs 1.80, or 0.41 per cent to Rs 440.65 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 832 lots.

The oil for delivery in July contract also traded lower by Rs 1.25, or 0.28 per cent to Rs 442 per 10 kg, with a trading volume of 298 lots.

Marketmen said, subdued demand against adequate supply in the spot market helped refined soya oil prices to decline at futures market.
