Refined soya oil futures up on good spot demand

In restricted activity, refined soya oil traded marginally higher by Rs 1.15, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 446.40 per kg in futures trade, buoyed by pick up in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, refined soya oil for delivery in August contract inched up by Rs 1.15, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 446.40 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 20 lots.

However, delivery for soya oil in July contract held steady at Rs 443.40 per 10 kg, with a business volume of 172 lots.

Marketmen said rising spot demand in view of marriage season helped refined soya oil prices to trade marginally higher at futures trade.
