Refined oil futures prices moved up by Rs 6.90 to Rs 622.20 per 10 kg today as traders enlarged their positions, driven by pick up in demand at the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, refined soya oil for delivery in February rose by Rs 6.90, or 1.12 per cent, to Rs 622.20 per 10 kg, with a trade volume of just one lot.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in January gained Rs 4.60, or 0.77 per cent, to Rs 603.95 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of just one lot.
Traders said firm trends at spot markets on pick up in demand for the upcoming Christmas and ongoing marriage season led to a rise in refined soya oil futures prices.
