Refined soya oil futures prices marginally up by Rs 1.90 to Rs 624.10 per 10 kg today, as traders enlarged their positions in tandem with a firm trend in the spot markets.

Fall in supplies from overseas markets supported the rise in prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, refined soya oil for delivery in January rose by Rs 1.90, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 624.10 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of 40 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in February surged by Rs 75 paise, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 634.40 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 15 lots.

Analysts said increased buying by speculators on rising demand in the spot market, led to the rise in refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
