Refined soya oil prices moved up by Rs 2.40 to Rs 652.60 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders enlarged their positions, supported by rising demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for August deliveryrose by Rs 2.40, or 0.37%, to Rs 652.60 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of three lots.
Likewise, the oil for July delivery edged up by Rs 1.90, or 0.29%, to Rs 652 per 10 kg, with an open interest of a single lot.
Market analysts said enlarging of positions by traders on rising demand in the spot market mainly pushed up refined soya oil futures prices.
