Refined soya oil prices gained 0.61% to Rs 687.45 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions on good spot market demand supported by ongoing marriage season.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February rose by Rs 4.15, or 0.61%, to Rs 687.45 per 10 kg with an open interest of 98,130 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in January gained Rs 3.40, or 0.49% to Rs 693.40 per 10 kg in 99,370 lots.
Analysts said speculators created fresh positions due to good spot market demand in view of marriage season mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
