The stocks of companies engaged in the gems and jewellery business have cruised along in the last three months from August to November on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
 
This was despite a minor decline in the retail buying of gold during the festival season due to high prices.
 
Share price of Classic Diamonds rose from Rs 72.95 on August 2, to today's close of Rs 117.70, up 61.34 per cent on the BSE.
 
During the same period the stock price of Golkunda Diamonds & Jewellery soared from Rs 4 to Rs 7.20, up by roughly 80 per cent.
 
SB & T International increased from Rs 53.50 to Rs 69.20.
 
Shrenuj & Co firmed up from Rs 42.95 to Rs 60.05, up 39.81 per cent.
 
Share price of Su-Raj Diamonds gained from Rs 21.70 to Rs 30.10 while Suashish Diamonds rose from Rs 36.54 to Rs 73.90.
 
Sunraj Diamond Exports rose from Rs 5.49 to Rs 6.76 and Parekh Platinum from Rs 8.98 to Rs 10.92.
 
Rajesh Exports gained from Rs 163.25 to Rrs 251.90 and Silver Smith India from Rs 9.50 to Rs 12.50.
