The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI), which tracks the GDRs of 15 actively-traded Indian depository receipts, traded over one per cent higher at 547.91 in mid-session trades.
However, US stocks opened weak, as investors awaited key economic data that would throw further light on the state of the economy.
Among the seven ISDI GDR stocks, there were three gainers and two losers, while two others remained unchanged.

The GDRs of Reliance Industries climbed 1.28 per cent to $13.42, Bajaj Auto gained 0.95 per cent to $11.54 and Ranbaxy Laboratories edged up 0.90 per cent to $16.90.
However, the ITC GDR fell 0.39 per cent to $15.39 and State Bank of India GDR lost 0.03 per cent to $17.84 in mid-trading session.
On Thursday, the ISDI eased by 0.34 per cent to 538.86. The ISDI P/E ratio, however, moved up by 0.50 per cent to 11.21, as compared to 11.15 previously.
Indian securities listed on US exchanges stayed mixed on Thursday. Tech major Infy, the Infosys Tech ADR shed 9 cents to $50.34. Wit, the Wipro ADR fell 15 cents to $20.25.
