The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI) remained more or less unchanged at 1,069.50 in early morning trades in the western markets.
 
Among ISDI global depository receipts (GDRs), three advanced and four lost ground. The only gainers were Reliance, up 1.20 per cent to $29.60, followed by ITC, up 0.85 per cent to $26.23 and State Bank of India, up 0.12 per cent to $21.20.
 
The major losers were Hindalco, down 2.61 per cent to $29.50, followed by L&T, down 2.38 per cent to $28.31 and Ranbaxy, down 0.61 per cent to $24.35.
 
The ISDI, which tracks the ADRs and GDRs of 15 actively-traded companies closed up 1.18 per cent to 1,069.45 on the previous day and was trading at a price to earnings multiple of 18.93 (up 1.31 per cent).
 
Among ISDI ADR stocks, six advanced and only two lost ground and among the ISDI ADRs and GDRs, there were 11 gainers and four losers. The major gainers were MTNL, up 6.37 per cent to $8.68 followed by ICICI Bank, up 4.05 per cent to $16.68 and VSNL up 3.20 per cent to $8.39.
 
The only losers were Satyam Computer, down 8.21 per cent to $21.35 and HDFC Bank, down 4.33 per cent to $29.80.
 
The GDR of Larsen & Toubro shot up to $28.31 as against 26.50, previously, while the GDR of Hindalco slipped to $29.75 compared with $30.25, previously.
 
Elsewhere in the world, US stocks are still on the upward path with Microsoft expected to report a strong rise in its revenues for the quarter.
 
Most of the companies have reported better than expected results during the first quarter of the year. Stocks have moved higher in the past two sessions, but still remain below 2004 highs, as investors focus on largely positive earnings and outlook coming from corporate America in the busiest week of the first-quarter reporting season.
 
Futures on the Standard & Poor's 500 index were trading up a little at 1,139.90 before the bell.
