Rice basmati prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal in lacklustre trade on the wholesale grains market today due to subdued demand against adequate stocks.

Elsewhere, other grains continued to trade in a tight range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.

Traders said adequate stocks following increased arrivals from producing belts amid sluggish demand mainly led to fall in wholesale rice basmati prices.
