Ricoh India soars on robust Q4 results

The stock hit a record high of Rs 945 in intra-day trade and rallied 44% in past two weeks on the BSE.

Ricoh India has soared 10% to Rs 927 on the BSE, in an otherwise weak market, after the company reported nearly three-fold jump in net profit at Rs 41.48 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 (Q4), on the back of higher operational and other income. The company had posted a profit of Rs 14.22 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Total income from operations during the quarter increased by 77% to Rs 628 crore from Rs 355 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal. The company reported other income of Rs 12.84 crore against Rs 49 lakh in the previous year's corresponding quarter.

The stock hit a record high of Rs 945 in intra-day trade and has rallied 44% in the past two weeks on the BSE.

Till 1444 hours, around 608,000 shares changed hands on the counter as against an average 65,000 shares that were traded daily in the past two weeks on the BSE.
