RIL advanced to a high of Rs 1,100 and finally ended at Rs 1,098, up 3% from the previous close. The counter clocked volumes of 647,740 shares on the BSE.
ONGC has ended flat at Rs 1,1,96 and clocked volumes of 128,542 shares on the BSE.

Reliance Industries has become the largest natural gas producer in the country with its over 50 million standard cubic metres per day (mscmd) output surpassing that of state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corp’s (ONGC). The company had recently issued bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1, and the stock is now traded at ex-bonus price.
Reliance has opened at Rs 1,070 and soared to a high of Rs 1,085. The scrip is now trading at Rs 1,076, up over 1% from its previous close. The counter has clocked volumes of 135,982 shares as compared to the two-week daily average traded volumes of 1 million shares on the BSE.
ONGC opened at Rs 1,205 and soared to a high of 1,214. The scrip is now trading at Rs 1,208, up around 1% from its previous close.
