The stocks of companies engaged in the food processing business business in general have made gains in last three months on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on the back of healthy growth in sales, and despite rising pressure on margins.
 
On the BSE, the share price of TAI rose from Rs 10 on Septmeber 1 to today's close of Rs 16.36.
 
During the same period the stock price of ADI Foods rose from Rs 11.98 to Rs 17.39, that of Rei Agro from Rs 112.15 to Rs 113.05 and Chordia Foods from Rs 14.25 to Rs 17.80.
 
Foods & Inns gained from Rs 25.10 to Rs 54.15, Flex Foods from Rs 11.46 to Rs 14.68 and Hind Industries from Rs 9.94 to Rs 14.83.
 
Share price of Lakshmi Overseas gained from Rs 21.40 to Rs 40.90, Satnam Overseas from Rs 79.70 to Rs 81.45 and Sunil Agro from Rs 7 to Rs 9.
 
Mefcom Agro increased from Rs 1.03 to Rs 2.86, RT Exports from Rs 5.10 to Rs 9.72 and Shah Foods from Rs 4.40 to Rs 5.52.
 
Nijjer Agro appreciated from Rs 6.50 to Rs 7.74, Tarai Foods from Rs 1.41 to Rs 2.78 and Kengold from Rs 2.10 to Rs 2.66.
 
Super Bakers rose from Rs 5.50 to Rs 7.50. However, Freshtop Foods slipped in value from Rs 10.05 per share on September 1 to Rs 8.36 on November 26, while Agro Dutch fell from Rs 41.45 to Rs 34.79 in the same period.
