US stocks pulled back from a four-year closing high at the open on Monday after the Group of 20 leading economies told Europe it must commit more money to fight the EU debt crisis before seeking broader help.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 24.22 points, or 0.19%, at 12,958.73. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index lost 4.53 points, or 0.33%, at 1,361.21. The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 17.90 points, or 0.60%, at 2,945.85.
