The former head of Japanese financial services major Shinsei, Sanjay Sachdev, has taken over as the Chief Executive Officer of Tata Mutual Fund (MF).
His appointment comes two months after Ved Prakash Chaturvedi quit. Sachdev will join office from Thursday.
Major churn is happening among the top level employees of leading MF houses.
Recently, Sunil Singhania was appointed as the head of Reliance MF after Madhu Kela was elevated as chief investment strategist at Reliance Capital. Early this week, ICICI Prudential's deputy managing director Nilesh Shah put in his papers.
Sachdev, a law graduate from the Bombay University and master in International Management from the American Graduate School of Management, Phoenix, USA, has 25 year experience in financial services industry. He spent nearly seven years working with the pension and mutual fund operations at the Principal Financial Group before he joined Shinsei Asset Management, where he was a 10 per cent stake holder.
Sachdev has also served on the Securities and Exchange Board of India's Advisory Committee of Mutual Funds.
