Saria remains firm as demand rises

Saria remained firm and prices rose by another Rs 200 per tonne in the wholesale steel and iron market today on rising demand due to clear weather conditions.

Traders said increased demand on the back of pick up in constructions activity pushed up the wholesale saria prices.

In the saria section, kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm, 12-mm and 16-25 mm were strengthened by Rs 200 each to Rs 40,300, Rs 41,000, Rs 39,700 and Rs 37,550 per tonne, respectively.
