Saria strengthened by Rs 200 per tonne on the wholesale steel and iron market today on the back of pick up in demand amid hike in prices by producers.
Traders said besides increased offtake by stockists following a rise in demand, rise in steel prices by some companies also influenced saria prices.
In the saria segment, kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm, 12-mm and 16-25mm were up by Rs 200 each to Rs 40,600, Rs 41,300, Rs 40,000 and Rs 37,850 per tonne respectively.
