Saria strengthened by Rs 100 per tonne on the wholesale steel and iron market today largely on increased offtake by stockists, driven by pick-up in demand.

Other steel, however, held steady in restricted activity.

Traders said increased demand following pick-up in constructions activity, helped saria prices to rise.
