Saria rose by Rs 200 per tonne on the local steel and iron market today on fresh buying by stockists, following a rise in demand on account of pick up in constructions.
Traders said pick up in demand, driven by upswing in constructions, mainly led to the rise in saria prices.
In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm were up by Rs 200 each to Rs 39,800, Rs 41,500 and Rs 40,200 per tone.
Similarly, the saria 16-25-mm traded higher by the same margin to Rs 38,050 per tonne.
