Saria weakens on reduced offtake

Saria prices fell by Rs 200 per tonne on the local steel market today on reduced offtake by stockists as demand fell due to rainy season.

Traders said fall in demand due to rainy season mainly led to fall in saria prices.

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm were down by Rs 200 each to Rs 40,600, Rs 40,300 and Rs 39,000 per tone respectively.

Similarly, saria 16-25-mm traded lower by the same margin at 36,850 per tone.
