Saria weakens on reduced offtake

Saria turned weak and prices dropped by Rs 500 per tonne in the local steel market today on reduced offtake by stockists and fall in demand. 

Traders said adequate stocks position against sluggish demand mainly pulled down wholesale saria prices. 

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm were down by Rs 500 each to Rs 40,100, Rs 39,800 and Rs 38,500 per tonne, respectively.

Similarly, the saria 16-25-mm traded lower by the same margin at Rs 36,350 per tonne.
