Saria weakens on reduced offtake

Saria turned weak on the local steel market today, due to reduced offtake by stockists following slowdown in constructions activity.

Activity in other steels, however, remained restricted following paucity of funds.

In the saria segment, kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm, 12-mm and 16-25 mm traded Rs 100 each lower at Rs 46,200, Rs 46,400, Rs 44,900 and Rs 45,500 per quintal respectively.

The following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne):

CTD saria (Kamdhenu): 8-mm 46,200, 10-mm 46,400, 12-mm 44,900, 16-25 mm 45,500.

Saria Jai Bharat (TMT): 8-mm 44,900, 10 mm 44,100, 12-mm 43,400,16-25 mm 43,700.
