Dow Jones Index, a global index provider, has removed Satyam Computer Services from its Dow Jones India Titans 30 index due to "financial distress".
Axis Bank will replace the stock in the index. The changes in the index will be effective as of the start of trading on January 13, 2009.
Earlier, both the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange replaced Satyam Computer in their benchmark indices with Reliance Capital and Sun Pharma, respectively.
