Select base metals decline on global cues

Select base metals declined at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to sluggish demand from industrial users amid bearish trend in global markets.

Meanwhile, copper armiture and aluminium utensils scrap inched up on better offtake from consumer industries. 

The industrial metals fell at the LME over weak US consumer spending data and speculation on Chile's miners strike.

Nickel and tin both slid by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,235 and Rs 1,455, respectively from overnight closing level of Rs Rs 1,240 and Rs 1,460.  

Copper scrap heavy and brass utensils scrap softened by a rupee per kg each to Rs 466 and Rs 307, respectively. However, copper armiture and aluminium utensils scrap looked up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 455 and Rs 108, respectively.
