Brass prices edged up in an otherwise mixed trade at the non-ferrous metal market here today on better demand from consumer industries.
Meanwhile, nickel and select copper prices eased due to lower industrial demand and mild profit taking coupled with bearish trend at the overseas markets.
Brass sheet cutting and brass utensils scrap both gained Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 263 and Rs 256 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 261 and Rs 254, respectively.
However, nickel prices declined by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 1,100 as against Rs 1,110 previously.
Copper armiture lost Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 355, while copper utensils scrap softened by rupee per kilo to end at Rs 339.
