Select commodities showed signs of weakness and traded up to Rs 200 per quintal lower in the wholesale pulses market today on stockists selling at existing higher levels.

Increased arrivals from producing regions also put pressure on the select pulses prices. Marketmen said stockists selling against fall in demand led to a fall in wholesale pulses prices.

Urad and its dal chilka local declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,100-5,650 and Rs 6,500-6,900 per quintal.

Moong Maharashtra also lost Rs 100 to Rs 6,700-7,000, while moong chilka local fell by Rs 200 to Rs 7,550-7,950, while dhoya local and best quality shed Rs 50 each at Rs 7,700-7,900 and Rs 8,200-8,400 per quintal.
