Select commodities remain weak on sluggish demand

Select commodities drifted up to Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on sluggish demand against adequate stocks position.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position against subdued demand at the existing higher levels, led to a fall in select wholesale commodity prices.

In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,300-5,850 and Rs 6,500-6,900 per quintal. 

Arhar and its dal dara variety too traded lower by the same margin at Rs 4,700-4,800 and Rs 5,650-6,050 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 5,300-5,850, Urad chilka (local) 6,500-6,900, best 7,400-7,700, Dhoya 7,400-7,500, Moong Maharashtra 6,600-6,900, Dal moong chilka local 7,300-7,700, Moong Dhoya local 7,500-7,700 and best quality 8,100-8,300.

Masoor small 3,300-3,500, bold 3,500-3,750, Dal Masoor local 4,000-4,100, best quality 4,300-4,600, Malka local 4,100-4,150, best 4,250-4,350, Moth 5,900-6,200, Arhar 4,700-4,800, dal arhar dara 5,650-6,050.     
Gram 2,125-2,200, gram dal (local) 2,450-2,475, best quality 2,650-2,750, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,050, Rajdhani 1,050, Rajmah chitra Pune 3,400-4,000, China 3,500- 4,000, red 3,500-3,600, kabli gram small 3,000-4,200, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,500-4,900, lobia 3,700-3,800, peas white 1,600- 1,700 and green 1,800-2,000.
